biological activity | MAC-545496 is a glycopeptide-resistance-associated protein R(GraR) inhibitor at nanomolar concentrations, it has strong binding affinity for the full-length GraR protein (Kd <0.1 nM). MAC-545496 reverses β-lactam resistance in Methicillin-resistant strains and acts synergistically with CAMP. MAC-545496 showed significant activity in macrophages and attenuated S. Aureus virulence in the alfalfa Rhizobium larval infection model. |
